A steaming cup of tea accompanied with some spicy light snacks really makes an evening enjoyable. Masala corn flakes is one such variety that suits very well to accompany the tea as well as to munch on whenever required...Here comes the recipe.,
Ingredients:
- Corn flakes - 2 cups
- Oil - 3 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Pea nuts - 1 tsp
- Raisins and pieces of cashews - as required
- Curry leaves - few
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Corriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
- Sugar - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and allow them to splutter.
- Add curry leaves and fry for a while and then add peanuts, cashews, raisins and roast them.
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and give a thorough mixing.
- Add corn flakes, sugar, salt, chilly powder, give a final mixing and set aside and allow it to cool.
- Store in an air tight container.
